How to read it The reach a plan like this would require

Most earnings calculators run forwards: you feed in your sales and they tell you what you'd make. This one runs the other way. You name the settled commission you're aiming for, and it works back through every step to the raw reach that plan would take — the orders, then the clicks behind those orders, then the views behind those clicks.

Read it as a picture of scale, not a promise. It doesn't say you will hit the target; it says a plan of that size, on the assumptions you entered, would need roughly this much reach. That's exactly what makes it useful — it turns a wish into a number you can look at and decide whether it's a month's work or a year's.

The formula, in full

Settled commission per order = price × (rate ÷ 100) × (1 − return rate ÷ 100) — what one order actually leaves in your pocket after clawbacks. Orders needed = target ÷ per-order, rounded up, because a fraction of an order won't pay you. Clicks needed = orders ÷ (conversion rate ÷ 100), rounded up. Views needed = clicks ÷ (click-through rate ÷ 100), rounded up. Every step rounds up, because you need at least that many.

A worked example

Say you want $500 a month. On a $28 product at 15% commission with a 12% return rate, each order settles to $28 × 0.15 × 0.88 = $3.70. To reach $500 you'd need $500 ÷ $3.70 rounded up = 136 orders. At a 2% conversion rate that's 136 ÷ 0.02 = 6,800 clicks. And at a 1.5% click-through rate, those clicks sit behind 6,800 ÷ 0.015 = 453,334 views. The target was never the hard part — the reach behind it is what the plan is really asking for.

Common questions

Is this a guarantee I'll earn the target?

No. It's the reach a plan that size would take, not a promise you'll get there. What you actually earn depends on the products, the platform, and buyers — none of which this box controls. It just turns a target into the scale of effort behind it.

Where do the conversion and click-through numbers come from?

From your own tracker, not this page. They're assumptions you enter — your best read of how your content converts today — not fixed truths. Change them and the reach changes, which is the point: it shows you which lever moves the plan most. The free settled-commission tracker lets you read real rates off your own orders.

So a plan is the same as an outcome?

It isn't. A plan is a target with the maths behind it made visible; an outcome is what the month actually delivers. This planner is honest about being the first thing, never the second — use it to size the work and sanity-check the goal, then let your real numbers correct the assumptions.
