How to read it An estimate from your reach, not a promise

Nobody pays you for views. Views turn into a few clicks, clicks turn into fewer orders, orders add up to sales volume, and a slice of that volume is your commission — before returns take part of it back. This calculator walks that whole funnel so you can see, roughly, what a month of reach is worth instead of guessing from a big view count.

Treat the answer as an informed estimate, not income. The two numbers that matter are the estimated commission the app would flash at you and the settled commission that survives the return window. Pay yourself from the settled figure and a wave of returns is an annoyance; treat the estimate as income and the same wave is a shortfall you already spent.

The formula, in full

Clicks = monthly views × (CTR ÷ 100). Orders = clicks × (conversion rate ÷ 100). Sales volume (GMV) = orders × average order value. Estimated commission = GMV × (commission rate ÷ 100). Settled commission = estimated × (1 − return rate ÷ 100) — the share of orders that don't come back.

A worked example

Take 100,000 monthly views. At a 1.5% click-through rate that's 1,500 clicks; at a 2% conversion rate that's 30 orders. Thirty orders at a $28 average order value is $840 of sales volume (GMV). A 15% commission on that is an estimated $126.00. But if 12% of those orders are returned, the commission on them is clawed back — so the projected settled amount is $126 × 0.88 = $110.88. The estimate was never wrong, exactly; it was just never yours to keep in full.

Common questions

How much do TikTok Shop affiliates actually make?

There's no single figure, and anyone quoting one is selling something. It's entirely a function of the funnel above: how many views you get, how many turn into clicks and orders, the order value, the seller's commission rate, and how many orders come back. Change any one of those and the answer moves. This tool lets you put in your own numbers instead of trusting a screenshot.

What click-through and conversion rates should I use?

Your own, from your own posts and your own tracker — not the numbers off a hype video. Early on you won't know them, so run the calculator low and high to see the range you're playing in, and replace the guesses with real figures as your own data comes in.

What commission rate should I use?

The seller sets it, per product, and it ranges from low single digits up to a large slice — there is no standard. Use the actual rate on the product you're promoting, which you'll see in the affiliate marketplace. Current ranges, with dates, sit on the TikTok Shop Affiliate resources page.

Is this a guarantee or an income promise?

No — it's an informed estimate, not a guarantee and not an income promise. No public calculator can see private payouts or qualified-view data, so this can't tell you what you'll earn; it can only show what a set of numbers implies. What you actually earn depends on the products, the platform, and buyers — none of which this box controls. For the real figure, log each order as it matures in the free settled-commission tracker, and let your settled earnings fall out of your own data.
