RESELLING — INTERMEDIATE · THE LIQUIDATION PROTOCOL + PLATFORM-FIT CHECKLIST Free from ePORTS — eports.global/resources/reselling Print it. Keep it with the shipping supplies. ===================================================================== 1. THE ONE QUESTION (anything over 90 days) ===================================================================== "If this item were handed to me today, for nothing, would I choose to list it at this price, on this platform, and hold it until a date I'd write down tonight?" What you paid gets no vote — it's gone in every version of the future. ===================================================================== 2. THE PROTOCOL — one rule per band, carried out in the Sunday block ===================================================================== 0-30 days ........ Nothing. Let it work. Floor holds. 31-60 days ....... REFRESH (if fresh comps still support it): new first photo, sharper title, item details filled; price may step toward the floor. Comps don't support it? Go straight to the over-90 decision. WHEN: the Sunday it crosses 31. 61-90 days ....... OFFER AND STEP: send an offer to watchers if eligible; mark down to the floor. The floor is the bottom. WHEN: the Sunday it crosses 61. Over 90 days ..... DECIDE: re-check comps (eBay Product Research reaches further back than the 90-day sold filter), ask the one question, pick an exit, write its exit date. The floor is no longer the test. WHEN: the Sunday it crosses 90; exit within 30 days. Exit date passed, or over 180 ...... OUT: lot it, sell it locally for cash, or donate it. By the next Saturday route (overrides the 30-day window). ===================================================================== 3. THE FOUR EXITS ===================================================================== [ ] MOVE IT — heavy/bulky/fragile to local pickup. End the eBay listing THE SAME DAY. One-way exit for one old item. Not cross-listing. [ ] LOT IT — 3-6 stragglers of a kind, one listing, one postage, priced at what you'd rather have than the items. [ ] PRICE IT TO GO — one final price, supported by fresh comps and set to sell within 30 days, exit date beside it. Not the start of a slide. [ ] DONATE IT — box, drop, mark it donated on the sheet. Broken or unsafe? Dispose. Recalled? Follow the recall notice; never sell it unless the notice says it may be resold after the remedy. Tax treatment: ask whoever does your taxes; your job is the record. Seasons are dates, not hopes: a seasonal item's exit can be the end of its season — once. ===================================================================== 4. SLOW BY DESIGN — the strict exception (all three, written on the row) ===================================================================== [ ] Evidence of how often it sells (e.g. "5 sold in the last year, all above $60") [ ] The expected net, from the floor card [ ] A review date no more than 90 days away CAP (this book's control): slow-by-design stock stays under 10% of committed. Over the cap -> review that night; the weakest exemption goes back to its band. ===================================================================== 5. EVERY EXIT MOVES A NUMBER ===================================================================== Cost leaves COMMITTED. Cash back goes in the pot. Cash back > cost -> profit -> tax line / draw / retained. Cash back < cost -> the difference is a loss -> it comes out of CAPITAL. Donated: the whole cost leaves committed AND capital. Liquidation log: date · item · band · exit · cost · cash back. ===================================================================== 6. PLATFORM FIT — three questions (add ONE platform, or none) ===================================================================== [ ] BUYERS THERE? For each of 3 representative items: at least 3 genuine sales of the same kind in roughly the last 90 days, with the middle price at or above your floor ON THAT PLATFORM. 2 of 3 items = pass. No visible sold history = UNVERIFIED = fail. [ ] MONEY WORKS? Rebuild the floor card with that platform's fee. [ ] FITS THE WEEK? Lists from your skeleton in minutes; your shipping windows meet its handling rules. "None" is a real result: your base platform is the right one. ===================================================================== 7. CROSS-LISTING WITHOUT SELLING ANYTHING TWICE ===================================================================== [ ] One inventory: the SHEET is the truth. New column: WHERE (E / M / E+M). [ ] Delisting rule: SOLD ANYWHERE MEANS ENDED EVERYWHERE — FIRST. Before replying, before printing a label: end the other listing, mark the row sold. [ ] Sale notifications ON for both apps. Sweep every E+M row at every shipping window. [ ] Oversold anyway? End any live listing, cancel with the TRUE reason, refund promptly, apologise plainly, log it. (On eBay an out-of-stock cancellation is a transaction defect — take it; never game it.) [ ] Pilot rule: 10 items, newest bands, same list price, each platform's floor on the row. [ ] Reading rule, written BEFORE the first sale: a threshold and a date four weeks out. (Book example: keep if >= 2 of 10 sell at/above floor with no oversell.) ===================================================================== 8. THE FOUR-WEEK AUDIT — six items, evidence beside each ===================================================================== [ ] 1 Four consecutive weeks logged — dated lines, every field filled [ ] 2 A chosen category — dated, demand check under it [ ] 3 The routine ran — sourcing + listing blocks; shipping windows run whenever there were orders (or "no orders") [ ] 4 Sell-through recorded — cohort count updated weekly, in counts [ ] 5 An aging report — dated, banded, reconciling to committed [ ] 6 At least one liquidation action — in the liquidation log Fillable hole -> fix it from records, write "added at audit" + the date. Unfillable hole (a block didn't run, nothing can rebuild it) -> write one line saying which step stalled and why; the four weeks restart. Two verdicts, kept apart: COMPLETION (proven / not yet) and PERFORMANCE (positive net after fees? falling over-90 share?). --------------------------------------------------------------------- The Reselling shelf: Basics · Intermediate · Advanced ePORTS — your ecom source. eports.global
