ETSY - MY ONE TRAFFIC CHANNEL: the rule, set in advance (Chapter 7) More traffic lets you learn faster - but a channel without a rule is a slot machine you feed. Add ONE channel, and write its rule BEFORE you switch on. (A break-even + traffic calculator is on eports.global/resources.) Channel (pick ONE): [ ] Etsy Ads [ ] Pinterest loop Conversion gate (Ch6) passed? Y / N if N: only a capped LEARNING PURCHASE here - buy traffic to test the page, budget set in advance, NOT judged on profit. Never SCALE spend on a page you haven't proven; ads amplify, they don't fix. Avoid: paying for OUTSIDE ads (Facebook/Google) pointed at an Etsy listing - weak attribution, colder audience, and Etsy's cut on top. IF ETSY ADS (you set the budget; Etsy sets the bids - there is NO per-click cap you control): [ ] FIRST turn OFF every listing except the one being tested (Manage advertised listings) - Etsy advertises ALL by default. Note: Etsy chooses the eligible searches; you cannot target keywords. This tests the LISTING's conversion, not a keyword (that's Ch4). Contribution/order = take-home - item cost - other variable costs (packaging, shipping I absorb) = £______ MAX TEST SPEND (daily budget x days) = £______ At the ceiling: PAUSE ads, read a PROVISIONAL verdict, then settle the CPA after the ~30-day attribution window closes. PASS if: ad spend / attributed orders <= contribution STOP if the ceiling is hit with too few attributed orders. IF PINTEREST: fixed weekly time budget: ______ the one loop: ______________ window: ______ PASS if it brings traceable traffic + orders worth the hours (whole-shop controlled). I protect the rule: I will not raise the ceiling without a written reason. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From Etsy - Intermediate.
